Types of Giving
Donations
Donations may be made to any UCCF fund by check indicating which UCCF fund you would like your gift to support. Donations may be mailed to:

All gifts to UCCF are acknowledged to fund representatives, are fully tax deductible, and tax receipts are mailed to the donor shortly after the donation is made.
Planned Giving
Donors who wish to make planned gifts may choose from a variety of options, some of which can provide income for themselves or loved ones. Planned gifts are an important strategy in tax and estate planning and can make a substantial contribution to shaping the future of our community. Union County Community Foundation staff and board will work closely with donors and their advisors to select the vehicle that best serves the donor’s objective. Fund Creation

A fund may be established by an individual, a corporation, or an organization.

A fund may be created through a living gift or by bequest.

A fund may bear the name of the donor, a loved one, an agency, or specific charitable purpose.

A fund may be formed with the execution of one simple governing document.

A fund may be created with cash, publicly traded or closely-held securities, real estate, life insurance or other assets approved by the Board of Directors.

An endowed fund may be created with an initial gift of $100 or more, but must attain a balance of $10,000 within three years. There is no fee to establish a charitable fund with UCCF.

Union County Gift Foundation
The Union County Gift Foundation is a separate 501(c)3 that was created to accept gifts of property. Since its inception as a public charity, UCGF has accepted as gifts a house, an airplane, an automobile, and an office building. The foundation was established specifically for the purpose of accepting these unusual gifts.
