Agape House Children's Home Scholarship Fund

Est. in 2019 to provide educational scholarship assistance to worthy Union County Arkansas Foster Children.

Diane G. and Edwin B. Alderson Fund

An advised fund established in 1997 to provide support for programs that address Union County’s current needs, or enhance the quality of life issues.

​

Alston Andrews Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established by family and friends of Alston Andrews, El Dorado High School Class of 2017.

 

Lacy Kathryn Allen Memorial Fund

An advised fund established in 1998 to provide scholarships to students pursuing a degree at SouthArk Community College and accepted into the Associate of Applied Science Physical Therapist Assistant Program and to provide assistance to non-profit organizations that support the fields of interest of Lacy Allen.

 

Keith Andrews Electrical Apprenticeship Fund

A scholarship memorial fund was established in 2009 to provide tuition for students interested in pursuing a career in electricity in the South Arkansas Electrical Apprenticeship School hosted by South Arkansas Community College, El Dorado, Arkansas.

 

Elizabeth Wilson Barry and Seth Barry Scholarship Fund

A scholarship established in 2000 and 2010 for  El Dorado High School soccer athletes who’ve demonstrated academic achievement in the classroom and excellence on the soccer field.

 

The Jack Barry III Memorial Scholarship

Established in 2012 to provide scholarships to worthy students with financial need, with an emphasis on helping students who, like Jack, play and enjoy the game of tennis.

 

Cole Logan Bechtelheimer Memorial Fund

Established in 2001 to provide scholarships for higher education to deserving graduates of El Dorado High School.

 

The Corrie Gross Bechtelheimer Memorial Fund

Established in 2014 to provide scholarships for higher education to students graduating from Parkers Chapel High School.

Coach Joe T. Black Memorial Scholarship Fund

Est. in 2017 by the friends and family of the late Joe Black to provide scholarships for deserving EHS students.

 

The Ruby Armer and Lovie Armer Brown Scholarship

Established in 2011 for scholarships for higher education to graduates of Junction City High School.

 

The Jeannette Kimes Burns Fund

Established in 2006 with a bequest from the late Mrs. Kimes to provide support to Felsenthal Baptist Church.

Ryan Eugene Burns Memorial Golf Fund (in development)

Est. in 2019 to provide a scholarship to aid and assist worthy students with financial needs.

 

Gloria Flenniken Calhoun Fund

Established in 1998 as a fund to provide scholarships to worthy students graduating from Norphlet High School, or for grants to Union County non-profit organizations.

 

The Robert C. Compton Union County Bar Association Fund

A scholarship fund was established in 2004 to honor his distinguished career as an attorney, and to provide law school tuition to students with high school degrees from Union County schools.

 

The Carol C. Daugherty Memorial Fund

A designated fund was established in 2006 to support El Dorado public school Odyssey of the Mind teams that succeed in making it to the OM World Finals Competition.

 

John W. and Maurice D. Davis Fund

A scholarship fund was endowed in 2002 for students pursuing studies in the School of Forestry at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

 

The Mickey Davis Memorial Fund

Established in 2013 to provide scholarships to musicians to help them enhance their musical careers and to provide to aid to symphonies and musical enhancement and development in South Arkansas and Mississippi.

Dawson Scholarship Fund

Established to award scholarships to EHS, West Side Christian School, and public Union county high schools.

 

Dayspring Mission Fund

An advised fund established in 2000 to support and enhance projects and programs advancing evangelical Christian mission work.

El Dorado Kiwanis Club Fund

Est. 2017 to provide scholarships for higher education to graduates of El Dorado high schools & for charitable purposes that meet the criteria of the Club’s mission.

 

The Berniece Hiller Ellis Memorial Fund

A designated fund was established in 2005 to provide grant awards to the Carroll Medical Library of the Area Health Education Center – South Arkansas to promote and enhance nursing and nursing education. 

 

James B. and Stanley B. Ellison Scholarship Fund

An advised fund established in 2000 to provide educational opportunities to academically gifted African-American students of El Dorado High School.

 

Mary Lee and Ralph Evers Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund was established in 2000 to provide scholarships to Union County students to attend the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

 

The Fifty For the Future Airport Fund

A short-term fund created in 2002 to enhance economic development in South Arkansas was designated for the improvement of Goodwin Field Airport.

 

The George “Scooter” Finch & R.V. Henley Scholarship Fund

Established in 2004 by their friends and peers to honor their service as teaching professionals,  and to award annual scholarships to El Dorado High School graduating seniors in their memory.

First Responders Fund

Est. 2019 to aid & assist the City of El Dorado, AR Fire Department; Police Department, and the Union County Sheriff’s Department in carrying out their duties.

​

Franques Family Fund

Est. in 2007 to benefit the Union County Public Trust fund.

 

The Judy Frazier Memorial Scholarship

Established in 2015 to provide scholarships to students of any race or creed who are graduates of  El Dorado High School; the scholarship is limited to only those schools designated as Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

The Linda Rodman Hall and Louis Tesson Hall III Fund

Established in 2014 to support nonprofit organizations and religious institutions that provide services to those in need, and improve the quality of life for citizens of South Arkansas.

​

Parks Hammond Memorial Golf Scholarship Fund

Est. in 2021 in memory of Parks Hammond to provide scholarships to EHS golf team members.

 

Dr. Hilery E. Hanna Kiwanis Scholarship Fund

A memorial fund was established in 1991 by the El Dorado Kiwanis Club to provide scholarships to worthy students of high schools in El Dorado.

 

Dr. Carl F. Hartmann Engineering Scholarship Fund

A memorial fund was established in 1990 to provide scholarships to local students showing interest and promise in the field of engineering.

 

Joseph Hickey Honorary Fund

Established with a gift by the Board of Directors of UCCF in 1999 to provide scholarships to law school for local Union County students seeking law careers.

 

Proctor Hill Memorial Educational Fund

A designated fund was established in 1993 to provide renewable scholarships to students of EHS to attend The University of the South at Sewanee, Tennessee.

 

Proctor Hill Memorial Fund for South Arkansas Historical Preservation Society

A designated fund was established in 1993 to provide support for SAHF projects and programs.

 

Proctor Hill Memorial Fund for St. Mary’s Episcopal Church

A designated fund was established in 1993 to provide support for St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.

 

The Miles C. Hogan Fund

Established in 2013 to provide scholarships to worthy students in need.

 

The Dennis James Memorial Scholarship for the Performing Arts
This fund was established in 2016 by the South Arkansas Arts Center from gifts made to the Center in memory of Dennis who participated in and supported the creative arts in our community for most of his life. The fund will provide scholarships to individuals and distributions to the SAAC for projects associated with the creative arts.

 

The Allie Johnson Persistence of the Spirit Fund

A designated fund was established in 2004 to honor the memory of Allie Johnson and to provide an annual cash award to the winner of the El Dorado Boys and Girls Club Youth of the Year.

 

Dr. William “Bill” Landers Memorial Scholarship

Established in 2015 by his family to provide tuition for worthy graduates of El Dorado High School for higher education.

 

The Helen and Rodney Landes Sr. Fund

An advised fund established in 2007 in memory of the late Mr. Landes, to provide grant awards to religious and non-profit organizations that are special to the Landes family.

 

Jodie Mahony Honorary Fund

A scholarship fund was established by a gift from the Oilbelt/SAU El Dorado Branch merger committee; the Fund was enhanced years later after his death later enhanced with a grant from the SHARE Foundation, and dedicated to the Student Success Fund for Single Parent students at SouthArk.

An advised fund established in 1999 to support local education and community enhancement organizations and projects.

Rachel and Henry C. McKinney, Jr. Memorial Fund

Established in 2019 to support the work of the Union County Public Trust Fund of UCCF.

Lois M. Meekins Scholarship Fund

Established in 2018 to provide scholarships to deserving African American students pursuing higher education.

Thomas F. Meeks Jr. Scholarship Fund

A memorial fund was established in 1998 to provide tuition assistance to Union County high school graduates, primarily those seeking a post-graduate law degree.

 

The Milam Construction Charitable Fund

An advised fund established in 2008 to aid and assist local nonprofit and community organizations in carrying out their missions to enhance the quality of life in South Arkansas.

 

The Miss Rodeo Arkansas Scholarship Fund

A designated fund established in 2006 to provide tuition assistance awards for higher education to the annual winner of the Miss Rodeo Arkansas title.

Kerry Anne Murphree Memorial Scholarship Fund

Est. in 2021 to provide scholarships to graduating EHS seniors pursuing the field of nursing or emergency medical at SouthArk.

 

The Ruth E. Nodini Career & Technical Education Scholarship Fund

Established in 2004 to honor her retirement after fifty-two years in the teaching profession, and to provide scholarships to students seeking post-secondary education in the Career and Technical Field.

 

Sarah A. Norris Memorial Fund for Barton Library

Established in 2010 to provide annual grants to the Barton Library.

 

Sarah A. Norris Memorial Fund for the Union County Public Trust Fund

Established in 2010 to support the work of the Union County Public Trust of UCCF.

 

Sarah A. Norris Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in 2010 to provide scholarships to local students.  The Fund is currently being used for dental school scholarships.

 

Anthony Joseph Olivier Scholarship Fund

An advised memorial fund was established in 1999 to provide scholarships to worthy EHS students showing promise and interest in any science-related field of study.

Peacemakers Support Group of Union County, AR Scholarship Fund (In development)

Est. in 2021 to provide educational scholarships to active Union County, AR peacemakers, and their families.

 

Mark W. Pinckard Renaissance Scholarship Fund

A memorial scholarship was established in 2002 to provide educational awards for graduates of El Dorado High School who have achieved high academic standards.

 

The Henley Post Memorial Fund

Established in 2012 by Henley Post’s family to provide scholarships for higher education for students who attended and graduated from Barton Junior High School.

 

The Wanda B. Anthony Ragsdale Charitable Fund

A  designated fund was established in 2007 to support the missions of the local Salvation Army and First United Methodist Church, both of  El Dorado, AR.

 

The John G. and Jesse G. Ralston Wildcat Scholarship Fund

An honorary fund was established in 2003 for graduates of El Dorado High School to provide tuition assistance for higher education.

Est. in 2019 to provide scholarships, support educational programs, assist charitable organizations, or to provide relief of human suffering.

 

Sara M. and Sam M. Richardson Fund

An advised fund established in 2002 to provide distributions to non-profit organizations for charitable or religious purposes.

 

The Jack Ridinger Memorial Fund

Established in 2012 by Loutre  Land and Timber and the friends and family of Jack Ridinger for scholarships for higher education.

 

Gladys and Homer T. Rogers Memorial Fund

A designated fund was established in 2008 to support the work of the Union County Public Trust Fund of UCCF.

 

Hazel C. and Lester C. Ross Scholarship Fund

Established in 2000 to provide education awards to deserving African-American graduates of El Dorado High School with financial needs.

 

William Thomas Lyell Rumph Scholarship Fund

Established in 2002 to provide scholarships for higher education to graduates of El Dorado High School, with preference given to students attending UALR.

 

The Serenity Prayer Fund

An advised fund was established in 2002 to provide grants to specific religious and medical institutions.

 

The Gary Sewell Fund

Established in 2003 to provide scholarships to students from Union County high schools who are from families that belong to the Union County Farm Bureau.

 

Rickey Sewell Memorial Fund

An advised fund established in 1995 to provide scholarships, support educational programs, assist charitable organizations, or to provide relief of human suffering.

 

The Mary Carol Sheppard Memorial Fund

A scholarship fund was created in 2005 to provide scholarships for students who wish to pursue a career in nursing, or for other higher education awards.

 

Ella L. Sims Scholarship Fund

Established in 2000 to provide educational opportunities to African-American students of Union County seeking post-secondary education.

 

The Sandra J. Sinclair Youth Athletics Fund

A designated memorial fund was established in 2008 for scholarships for higher education to El Dorado High School graduates who excel in golf and to support the EHS girl's basketball program.

 

Smackover High School Education Fund

A designated fund was established in 1997 to promote and further educational opportunities, including scholarships, for Smackover High School students and teachers. 

 

The Ruth and Ben Smith Family Fund

An advised fund established in 2007 aid and assist local nonprofit organizations in their work to enhance the South Arkansas Community.

Strong-Huttig School District FundFriends of" was established in 2022by contributions from local community members who have an interest in the educational endeavors of the Strong-Huttig School District to assist Strong-Huttig High School, Strong, Arkansas graduating seniors in achieving a higher education degree.

Short-term Fund Benefiting the South Arkansas Community College Foundation

Est. in 2021 to create a marketing position and budget to promote the El Dorado Conference Center.

 

The Amelia A. and Gary D. Taylor Charitable Fund

Established in 2014 to provide grants to not-for-profit organizations that provide services to help individuals in need and society in general.

 

Terri Fite Tennyson Education Fund

An advised fund was established in 2001 to provide educational opportunities to Union County students, or to support Union County educational institutions.

 

Kathryn R. Thomas Scholarship Fund

An advised fund was established in 2000 to provide scholarships to South Arkansas Community College for deserving women students pursuing a business degree.

 

The Kelly Elizabeth Thomas Memorial Scholarship Fund

An educational fund was created in 2003 to provide scholarships to graduates of El Dorado High School who participated in the El Dorado Camp Fire program.

 

The Zachary Bruce Thomey Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in 2008 to provide tuition assistance for higher education to graduates of Junction City High School who have participated in school sports programs.

           

Timberland Resources Scholarship & Youth Activities Fund

Established in 1999 to provide scholarships to deserving Union County students and grant awards to worthy nonprofits.

 

Union County Bar Association Scholarship Fund

Established in 2001 to provide tuition assistance to Union County students to attend accredited Law Schools in the USA.

 

Union County Farm Bureau Scholarship Fund

An education fund was established in 1993 to provide scholarships to students of families who are members of Union County Farm Bureau.

 

Union County Public Trust Fund

The Foundation’s unrestricted fund was established in 1991 to benefit the community at large.  Grants are awarded annually to organizations that meet Union County’s most pressing needs or offer promising opportunities for community enhancement.

 

Dr. Hartford Harding Watson Memorial Fund

Established in 2009 to provide tuition assistance for higher education to students graduating from El Dorado High School.

 

Sebastian T. Webb Memorial Fund

A fund established in 2005 and designated to provide grants for work associated with neonatal critical care in Union County.

​

The West Fraser – Daisy Bates Scholarship Fund

Established in 2021 in memory of Mrs. Daisy Bates to provide tuition assistance for higher education to students graduating from Strong-Huttig High School, Strong, AR.

​

Whaley Memorial Scholarship Fund

Est. in 2021 to provide scholarships to Union County Arkansas public high school graduates who are rising sophomores at UAMS College of Medicine.

 

Kimberly Wood Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund

An education fund was established in 1991 to assist local students with tuition assistance to the South Arkansas Community College Nursing Program.
